Believe it or not I do not want a 60 vote dem majority in the Senate. 51 is fine. I think the filibuster is too important a tool for the minority party. I want my party to have to reach across the aisle.

Barrack's church, as I have repeatedly said, is only an issue if he continues to repeat the often stated line about Wright being his spiritual advisor. If Obama continues such a connection, then Wright is relevant because it speaks volumes about the type of person Obama would seek guidance from.
If he does not continue to make that claim, then it is not an issue for me.
Frankly, if Obama picks Hillary, I think this race is over. People like me do not like John McCain the politician and so there will not be some great fervor to support him.
Interestingly enough, I have heard many people say that they could not stand Hillary and yet with the way in which she has waged this campaign, they now respect her.
Based on the circumstances of June 4th 2008 and recongnizing that November is a long way away, I predict a 57 or 58 seat Democrat Senate and a 20 seat Democrat gain in the House.
If those two things occur, I think Obama wins with 293 electoral votes.
If things change dramatically, gas bottoms out, a terrorist attack or something of such monumental proportion occurs, I think the Senate split 50-50 and the Presidency comes down to Pennsylvania

I know several people who have their own businesses. When I rented there, I rented from a sinle landlord who had a few rental properties. You would have loved the lease. The Landlord had most of the rights. tenant could not hold back rent because of disputes etc

I agree that to those who focus on identity politics the campaigns of Senators Clinton and Obama are historic.
However, there is certainly nothing historic about the Democrat Party nominating a liberal who is unqualified to be President of the United States.
Hopefully, for their sake, they will not double-down by selecting Senator Clinton as his running mate.
As for focusing on the ideas in Senator Obama's platform -- has he actually ever articulated the details or logistics of any proposals? So far I have only seen/heard nebulous, feel-good, saccharine-laced pablum from Senator Obama.
