The crunch is on

Maine is facing a serious financial crisis, and yet the legislature keeps expanding the budget. Rays says we need to start holding the folks in Augusta accountable.

I agree on what you are saying.
I just wish people would wake up and speak their minds.
Power and money is going to ruin this state and this country.
I believe that Maine should change to a unicameral government like Nebraska.
I have sent messages to the legislature website.
I was born here, and left for a military career of twenty years.
Ever since I've returned, for sum reason I noticed all that is going on in politics.
I have started my own Public Access program in Biddeford.
Called "Veterans Today".
I am trying to reach out to veterans and their families, with special guests that have information to assist in whatever problems they may have and don't know where to look for assistance.
Thank You Ray for your effort !

Ray,
Once again you are right on the money (pun not intended) about yet another budget shortfall facing the state. The lack of accountability in these matters never ceases to amaze me. This remainds of the loss of even more money by DHHS a few years ago, and I don't recall anyone in that department being held accountable or losing their job as a result. The people of this state need to wake up and stop allowing their hard earned tax dollars to be wasted. When Govenor Baldacci vows not to raise taxes as a result of this latest fiasco, my feeling is I'll believe it when I see it! Come on, Maine, it's long past time to come out of hibernation and start holding those in our state government accoutable for their incompetence.
