Just Another Betrayal

Ray weighs in on the explosive new book by ex-U.S. Press Secretary Scott McClellan and asks liberals if they believe the charges McClellan levels in his book, why they don't go after President Bush for war crimes (rather than just talking endlessly about it).

We did it once.
Where is Peter Rodino when we need him?
Mike Michaud has gone on record as being for impeachment.

Scott is doing what you do ,making money by stirring things up and speaking his mind.

I am grateful for guys like him and George Stepahnopolous for giving us good summer reading material.

Bruce,

Give me a break.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Mike could have filed charges of impeachment. He did not do it.

WHY?

You know why and I know why, don't we?

Time is on our side.

I love it when the Coservatives beat up on their own. Sort of like Wolves eating their pups.
Many of W's so called loyal staff have turned on him for a quick busk. I am not surprised as money is so important to the right.

Ray
this was on AMG blog Sound familiar?

Could have been recycled from a Woodcock endorsement a few years back.

"Lastly, Dean Scontras knows what I know, that a great nation and a great people are defined by their principles, by the things that matter most to them. He knows that this nation was built on traditional values that come from our faith and to deny them is to destroy this great country. Dean is pro-life and he knows that when you devalue one life, whether inside or outside the womb, you devalue all life. He also knows that while families come in all shapes and sizes, a loving Father married to a loving Mother is the best environment for a child to grow up in and he will use his bully pulpit to strengthen traditional families".

Wow,

Someone who talks about or is involved in politics actually being consistent and supporting people who share the same ideas.

No wonder you are shocked. I guess most folks simply try to figure out who will win and jump on board.

Dean and Chan are pretty close in the way they look at the world. As I said in your town of Farmington, if the choices were the same, I would make the same decision to support Chan.

So yes, Bruce, I found similar qualities in Dean that I did in Chan.

Dean is more aggressive than Chandler and I like that, so I am hopeful on June 10th.

I did not, however, just copy my Chan endorsement. Be glad to post it if you like.

One question though .... I think it was you based on your earlier statements to me.

At Farmington, you or the guy next to you asked me who I supported in 2006 for Governor and said you or the guy next to you said you thought there was a winner from Farmington in Peter Mills.

If you are the one that asked that question, how did you happen to know what I wrote about Chan?

Was that a set-up question in Farmington where you already knew the answer and was hoping to trip me up?

Bruce, I can't believe you would do that. I am shocked (smiling).

Bruce,
We can only hope that one day, you and the rest of your moveon.org ilk will obtain some common sense. As Ray said, Bring it on. I would love to see the ultra-liberals bring articles of impeachment against the President, so the American people can see once and for all just how foolish you all are. Scott McClellan is just showing that he is nothing more than a disgruntled ex-government employee who is using an exagerated, emblished book to grab a buck during his 15 minutes of fame. Kind of like what Barak Obama is doing right now

No I did not know, and it wasn't a set up question, not that I would not do that type of thing. I just rembered your answer, so when I read this on AMG it sounded familiar.
Yes, I believe a lot of what McClellan and Clark and others have said about W
Scott was very convincing on the talk shows this weekend.
I don't really think we have to impeach Bush, although I would not mind it. I believe my democratic Congress does not want to waste the time and 78 million dollars on this type of thing like was done on Clinton.
I am sure if we investigated long and hard enough, we could catch W in a lie at some point and impeach him like Clinton.
I believe history will make the case for us a lot cheaper.
We will survive W
I hope mor people like Scott come forward

"UNITY OF PURPOSE ..... That is the answer to changing Maine.

Liberals have known it for years. It is how they have accomplished so much of their mission.

UNITY OF PURPOSE"

FROM AMG post
Why thank you Ray for the compliment. And here I thought we were just thought of as bumbling idiots.

Ray Richardson said...

So, are you "cyber-stalking" me? (smiling)(wink)

Of course, I have long said I admire the liberals ability to rally the troops and create a sense of purpose, a sense of unity, a sense of being a part of something larger than themselves and a sense that we must be united in order to accomplish saving the world from its self.

In other words, a unity of purpose.

I like watching the right argue with each other.

Just finished McClellan's book.

No big surprises in it. But, It does offer more evidence of Rove and Cheney's power

I hope Scott makes a lot of money on it. I guess he won't be working in the GOP any more.

What amazes me is how many pick up trucks I still see with W 04 stickers on them. Go figure I would think they would be pretty embarassed.

Bruce said...

Ray, by the way,
The big "betrayal" was by Rove in lying to Scott and letting him lie to the American people.
I aplaud Scott's coming forward. So what if he makes money. Isn't that what capitalism is all about?
I think you would applaud his entreprenurial spirit.
