Incomes Flatlining

The Maine Center for Economic, a liberal think tank, has reported that incomes in Maine for 2007 are indistinguishable from incomes in Maine in 2002. When you factor in the high cost of gas and heating oil, Maine people are going backwards. Ray asks why we keep sending the same people back the the state legislature over and over again, despite the fact that they're not helping Mainers.

Thank Goodness you have Bragdon and his Heritage Policy (where do they come up with those names)group to validate your ideas.

This "liberal think tank" is disseminating correct data. But "as Maine goes, so goes the nation" applies here. In the eight years under Clinton, real incomes in the United States went up by an average of $7,500. For the seven plus years under Bush, real incomes have gone down $2,000. As jobs go overseas and unions become less influential, pay goes down, in all fifty states. Maine is more dependent on jobs that only require a high school education than a lot of other states. Under the Repubs, the gap nationwide has gotten greater between degreed and non-degreed workers. The lower incomes are more prevalent here than higher incomes. For once I agree! Throw the bums out. Lets get rid of Bush and his cronies and anyone in power since '94 who has got us in this mess! Which is the worst I have seen in my lifetime.
