Ray you need to stop lumping all conservatives together
There are social conservatives and fiscal conservatives.
Unfortunately the gop leaders have been social conservatives , not fiscal the way you want them to be.
When you mentioned drunken sailors, for a minute I thought you were bring up McCains Annapolis and early sailor days.
There is one entitlement program I would like to have looked at and it is the money FAA gives out to little airports that never see commercial flights
When you but a plane ticket take a look at all those taxes some time and when you drive by a little local 2800 foot airstrip used by local recreational pilots, know that 95% of the funding of that strip come from those taxes.
That is an entitlement program for the haves, so no one wants to cut it.
